Iredell Health System has announced the appointment of Sarah Hannah, RN, DNP, as the new director of the 5 North unit at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Hannah brings over 15 years of experience in nursing and leadership roles across various medical fields, including inpatient med surg, intensive and progressive care, emergency nursing, and surgical services.
Hannah holds undergraduate degrees in Spanish and sociology and later pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Jacksonville University. In her new position, she will manage the 5 North unit, focusing on staff mentorship to ensure optimal patient care.
“I’m excited to be part of an incredible team and work to meet the emotional and physical needs of the community we serve,” said Hannah.
Outside her professional life, Hannah enjoys baking, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is kept busy by her two elementary-aged children.
“Working for a locally governed health system that assesses and meets the needs of the local community is important to me. I was raised in Alexander County, and the ability to serve the community that helped raise me is an amazing opportunity and blessing,” she added.
