Iredell Health System has announced that Megan Lewis, a family nurse practitioner certified by the board, is joining the Family Care Center of Statesville. With over ten years of experience in intensive care and physical medicine and rehabilitation, Lewis brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role.

Lewis completed her undergraduate studies at Winston Salem State University and earned her graduate degree from South University. In 2018, she was honored with the Nursing Excellence Award from Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.

Her approach to healthcare emphasizes a holistic perspective. "I wanted my education to cover both pediatric and adult populations to provide care to patients throughout their lifespan," said Lewis. "My approach to medical care is patient-centered and holistic. Patients can expect me to sit and listen to them. My goal is to know them better, which will assist in how I care for them as an individual."

Beyond her professional commitments, Lewis actively participates in her local church community as a worship team member, life group leader, and nursery worker. She enjoys outdoor activities, working out, and spending time with friends and family. The small-town atmosphere attracted her to Iredell Health System.

Lewis advocates for maintaining an active lifestyle through enjoyable activities: “Make time for yourself as frequently as possible to stay active through exercise and activities you enjoy.”

She is now accepting new patients at the Family Care Center of Statesville.
