Iredell Health System has announced the addition of Karen Rohde, PA-C, to its pain management team. Rohde, a certified physician assistant, adds over two decades of experience to the Iredell Pain Management group. Her medical career includes significant time in emergency medicine, with eight years in Iredell's emergency department, and roles in occupational medicine, urgent care, primary care, and industry medicine.
Rohde has also served as a medical examiner for Department of Transportation certifications and was previously the Iredell Corporate Wellness provider for Keystone Powdered Metal Company. Her approach to patient care emphasizes communication, as she noted, "Everyone is unique and has different concerns and problems. I love to be able to really listen and help my patients solve those individual problems."
Her objective is "to be as healthy as they can and work toward continuous health improvement as a team" with her patients. As an operating room technician after high school, Rohde pursued further education and received her degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
Rohde balances her professional life with personal interests, including family time, beach outings, cooking, and walking her dog. She advises patients to maintain regular appointments as a fundamental part of health management, stating, "Even small steps toward a positive change can make a big difference in your life."
Rohde will serve at the Iredell Pain Management locations in Statesville and Mooresville. For appointments, contact 704-360-4378.
