Iredell Health System has announced the appointment of Matthew Woods as the new director of Biomedical Technology, in collaboration with Crothall Healthcare. Woods brings extensive experience to the role, having spent over 32 years in healthcare technology management (HTM), specifically in anesthesia and ventilator equipment, as well as HTM sales and management.
Woods holds an Associate of Applied Science from Caldwell Community College and serves on the board of the North Carolina Biomedical Association. In his new position, he will oversee the biomedical technology department at Iredell Health System, focusing on ensuring that staff members have access to safe and effective equipment for patient care.
"Having previously worked at Iredell Health System as the Director of the Biomedical Department, I knew that Iredell was an outstanding independent healthcare organization," said Woods. "When the chance to join Crothall Healthcare as the Director of the Biomed Department at Iredell arose, I could not pass on such a great opportunity."
Residing in Hickory with his wife Anita, Woods has three grown children: Lindsay, Parker, and Abbey. His personal interests include coaching youth league football, horseback riding, and restoring cars. Additionally, he is involved with Caldwell Community College's advisory board.

"As the director of the department, I have the opportunity to contribute to this outstanding care by ensuring that equipment used by healthcare providers is safe and reliable."
