TOWN OF MOORESVILLE: Informational Session On August 24

Town of Mooresville issued the following announcement on Aug. 20. 

The Mooresville Youth Council will be holding an Informational Session next Tuesday, August 24, from 6–7 p.m. in the main Board Room at Town Hall (413 N. Main St.). Interested students and parents are invited to attend!

The Mooresville Youth Council is a service-focused group of high school students that act as liaisons to the Town of Mooresville's Board of Commissioners as representatives of the youth in Mooresville. The Council is focused on community service and experiential learning with an emphasis on local government services/operations. Members must either (1) be a rising 9-12th grader attending a public, private, or home school within MGSD or (2) be a Town of Mooresville resident. The Council year runs from September to June and programming includes hands-on department visits, service projects, community initiatives, as well as team building and mentorship opportunities.
