TOWN OF TROUTMAN: Upgraded To a New Tractor and A Front-end Loader

0Comments

Town of Troutman issued the following announcement on July 31.

The Town has upgraded to a new tractor and a front-end loader. In doing so, there is no longer a need for our old tractor and bush hog.

Both are being sold to the highest bidder on GovDeals.com We are adhering to the North Carolina General Statutes for disposing of surplus property.

We did weigh all the factors including most likely return bid value versus the original cost of equipment, actual costs of new equipment, new warranties, and more versatility in use, and the extended use of new equipment versus keeping and maintaining older equipment for the Town’s specific uses going forward.

All factors concerned are why the newer smaller equipment made sense and why we chose the Gov Deal method to sell the tractor and bush hog
