Which political committee based in cities associated with Iredell County spent the most during Q4 2022?

Committee to Elect Frank Johnson spent the most out of political committees within cities associated with Iredell County during the fourth quarter of 2022.

It spent $44,234 on five vendors during the time period.

The largest expense was for Consulting to Haire Michael, which is based in the Mooresville area.

The second largest political spend from a committee operating in a city within Iredell County during the fourth quarter of 2022 came from Committee to Elect Vickie Sawyer. It spent $41,885 during the time period on 17 different vendors.

What’s known as “dark money”, which comes from political non-profits and shell corporations, has greatly increased expenditures and donations in recent elections to record-breaking highs.

Political campaign financial data is often updated, leading to a sometimes incomplete picture of a committee or candidate's finances.
