County of Iredell Parks and Recreation Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 20.

The Brody Thompson Foundation Memorial Playground will be opening at Stumpy Creek Park on December 31st.

The day will consist of the final prep & mulching of the playground followed by a ribbon-cutting celebration & hot dogs!

If you would like to volunteer to help finish the project or simply celebrate the occasion please RSVP to the link below by Wednesday, December 21st!

We look forward to seeing the smiles & memories made on our newest playground!
