The Statesville Recreation & Parks Department is seeking an Assistant Facility Supervisor for Marketing and Programs!

Recreation & Parks Department - Statesville Fitness & Activity Center
Salary Range: $42,348.80 - $69,867.20

Work Schedule 40 Hours Per Week:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 12:15PM - 9:15PM
Friday 10:00AM - 7:15PM
Saturday 6:45AM - 4:15PM

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Performs difficult professional work in conducting a variety of programs and activities in an activity center or similar facility; does related work as required.
Work is performed under regular supervision. Supervision is exercised over subordinate temporary and seasonal personnel.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Schedules and supervises the operation of an activity center providing a variety of recreation programs;
- Supervises the After School Enhancement Program/Summer camp program and staff;
- Assists Program Director and Facility Manager in developing diversified programs to meet community needs;
- Schedules and supervises use of facilities by groups; enforces rules and regulations and maintains order and discipline;
- Conducts public relations for the Fitness and Activity Center, publicizes events and special activities and maintains contact with various community groups and organizations; attends health fairs, etc;
- Assists Facility Manager and Program Director with special events, programs, news releases and reports;
- Registers participants in programs; maintains registration files, membership files and attendance reports;
- Prepares center for activities and programs;
- Drives activity van for field trips and recreation programs;
- Supervises or assists in the maintaining of cleanliness and order of the facilities and equipment;
- Helps recruit, hire and supervise instructors, volunteers and temporary staff;
- Collects and accounts for fees, completes daily revenue report;
- Assists with budget preparation for the Fitness and Activity Center and programs;
- Attends staff meeting and other training sessions and meetings as requested;
- Assists Fitness Director with classes, operations and care of equipment;
- Assists Program Director and Facility Manager in marketing, membership recruitment and retention.
