Iredell-Statesville Schools issued the following announcement on Dec 17.
Iredell-Statesville Schools is proud to recognize Laurel Gray from North Iredell High School for being chosen for the 2020-2021 US Presidential Scholars Program. Laurel is one of only 5 selected scholars in NC and she will represent Iredell County at the national level in January 2021. The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964, by executive order of the President, to recognize and honor some of our nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors.
Laurel is pictured below with Board of Education member Bill Howell, her family, and Superintendent Jeff James.
