Town of Davidson recently issued the following announcement.
Community Members Invited to Celebrate MLK Jr.
Community members are invited to the Town of Davidson’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration in the Davidson Town Hall Board Room. We are honored to bring the community together to celebrate the life and work of this inspirational individual.
This year’s event will include:
Light refreshments
Spoken word, Ms. Chandra DuBose and Mr. Maurice J. Norman, Cornerstone Poets
Guest speaker, Rev. Anthony Davis, Pastor, Reeves Temple AMEZ
“It’s so important to bring the community together to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. There are many lessons from his lifetime of service that we can learn from and implement in our daily lives,” said Leslie Willis, Interim Parks and Recreation Director.
