On Friday, March 14, former Statesville High School standout Jacob Lentz’s current college team, the Wheeling Cardinals, lost 3-0 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Charleston Golden Eagles.

The game took place at Welch Athletic Complex. This was their second matchup against the Golden Eagles this season.

The Cardinals’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 16 at 1 p.m. at Calvin L. Bailey Field against West Virginia State Yellow Jackets.
