Statesville Fire Department issued the following announcement on Apr. 12.

On the night of April 21, the Statesville Fire Department will conduct a live burn training at 768 Eastside Drive, between Campbell St. and Cinema Dr. Residents and visitors can expect heavy smoke in parts of the area.  There may be some traffic congestion due to partially blocked streets, as well as elevated noise levels and bright lights from the fire equipment on scene.  Every effort will be made to minimize inconveniences.  MORE INFO: https://bit.ly/3KygJ8P
