Rotary Club of Statesville/Fourth Creek has contributed $25,000 to establish a Family Resource Center at The Birth Place in Iredell Memorial Hospital. The new space features child-friendly seating, numerous outlets for charging devices, a television, a coffee and snack bar, and a baby changing room.
Kim Holland, Development Coordinator at Iredell Health Foundation, expressed gratitude for the donation. “The Iredell Health Foundation is incredibly grateful for the Rotary Club of Statesville/Fourth Creek and their generous donation,” she said. “This space will provide comfort, connection, and convenience for families during some of life’s most meaningful moments.”
A dedication ceremony was held on June 6 with club members led by President Richard Armstrong. A plaque was unveiled to acknowledge the club’s contribution. Armstrong highlighted the importance of collective effort by quoting an anonymous saying: “The efforts of one person can’t move mountains. It’s the strength of us all working together that makes a change.”
This initiative aligns with Rotary Club International’s mission to serve others and promote goodwill through community collaboration.
Iredell Health values partnerships like these to support its mission to inspire wellbeing.
