Iredell Home Health, part of Iredell Health System, has received the 2024 SHPBest “Superior Performer” award from Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP). This recognition is given to home health agencies that achieve patient experience scores in the top 20% among all eligible SHP clients nationwide.

The SHPBest award program reviews more than 3,200 home health providers each year. It uses data from the Home Health Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS) survey, which is one of the largest benchmarks for patient experience in home health care. The program highlights organizations that prioritize and excel in patient satisfaction. More information about the awards, including methodology and recipient lists, can be found at https://www.shpdata.com/home-health/shpbest-hhcahps.

“SHP recognizes how much hard work is involved in providing excellent patient care, and we are proud to acknowledge the tireless efforts of our top-performing customers through our annual SHPBest award program. These organizations care deeply about the patient experience and they never stop striving to improve every single year,” said Kevin Vogel, President of SHP.

Iredell Home Health has been accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) and is a Medicare-certified agency. It has served local residents with in-home care since 1974.

“I’m so proud of the team at Iredell Home Health,” said Linda Thompson, MSN, RN, Director of Iredell Home Health. “We continue to inspire wellbeing through excellent care at home for our patients. It is wonderful to see the recognition and reward for the hard work and compassion they exhibit every day.”

Iredell Health System includes several facilities such as Iredell Memorial Hospital—the largest nonprofit hospital in Iredell County—and provides a range of services including women’s and children’s care, cardiovascular services, cancer treatment, surgical services, wellness programs, urgent care at its Mooresville campus, rehabilitation services, imaging centers, and physician practices. The system employs over 2,000 staff members and nearly 365 healthcare providers across various specialties. Details about their offerings can be found at www.iredellhealth.org.

Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP), established in 1996, offers data analytics and benchmarking tools for post-acute providers, hospitals, and ACOs to support clinical decisions and improve patient outcomes across more than 7,000 organizations nationwide.
