Iredell Health System has announced the removal of temporary visitor restrictions at Iredell Memorial Hospital. This change took effect on Friday, March 28. The hospital had initially set these restrictions on January 14 due to a surge in respiratory illnesses, including the flu, COVID-19, and RSV. The restrictions aimed to safeguard patients, visitors, and staff from the spread of these illnesses.

Although restrictions have been lifted, the health system advises visitors who are feeling unwell to avoid visiting unless they require treatment. “We thank everyone for helping to protect our patients and staff during this time,” said Pam Gill, Director of Infection Prevention for Iredell Health System.
