Iredell Health System announced on Apr. 28 the appointment of Angela (Angel) Ross as its new Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Nursing and Patient Care Services.
Ross has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare leadership, including roles in inpatient, outpatient, trauma, emergency services, and ambulatory surgery operations. Her background includes improving clinical quality and leading teams through organizational growth and change.

Before joining Iredell Health System, Ross worked at Advocate Health as Regional Administrative Director for Wake County. In that role she led multi-site surgical teams managing up to 25,000 annual cases. She also launched several ambulatory surgery centers. Previously she was Administrator of SouthPark Surgery for Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat Associates where she acted as CEO. Her earlier experience includes leadership positions at Novant Health and CaroMont Health.
Ross holds an MBA from East Carolina University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UNC Charlotte. She is pursuing her doctorate degree. She is also Nurse Executive Advanced-Board Certified (NEA-BC) with published work in several healthcare journals.

Ross recently moved with her family to Mooresville where they enjoy outdoor activities such as gardening while becoming part of the local community.
