Heart disease remains a significant health issue in Iredell County, with the Iredell County Health Department reporting that it is responsible for nearly 20% of premature deaths locally.

The Iredell Health Foundation is organizing its fourth annual Heart of Jazz event to support the Cardiac & Vascular Care Fund for Iredell Health System. The fundraiser aims to help provide new cardiovascular equipment, patient assistance, and expand heart care services in the community. Last year’s event raised over $44,000 for these initiatives.

The Heart of Jazz will be held on Friday, November 7, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Statesville Civic Center in Statesville, North Carolina. Tickets are required for all attendees and cost $100 per person. They can be purchased online at IHFdonate.org/heart-of-jazz-tickets or by calling the Iredell Health Foundation office at 704-878-7669.

N-Spire will perform at the event, offering a mix of R&B, jazz, funk, pop, old school, and go-go music. Guests will also have access to an auction, beer and wine selections, and dinner. More information about the event is available at heartofjazz.org.

Iredell Memorial Hospital’s Heart & Vascular Center provides comprehensive heart and vascular care to local residents through several programs and clinics within the Iredell Health System network.

This year’s Heart of Jazz is presented by The Fotsch family as lead sponsor. L. Gordon Iron and Metal is also supporting the event as a sponsor; additional sponsorship opportunities remain available.
