Greater Statesville Chamber issued the following announcement on Jan. 22.
What an amazing day to watch the dream of two tiny homes being celebrated at Fifth Street Ministries. Donated by Purple Heart Homes and supported by the community. It was a beautiful winter day cutting the ribbon. These homes will serve veterans that are in transition and one step closer to a dwelling of their own. Well done to all.

Registration has opened for the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Teen Academy this summer. The program provides hands-on law enforcement experiences for local teens interested in public safety careers.
The Iredell County Board approved its FY 2026–2027 budget on June 3 while keeping property taxes steady despite rising costs from rapid growth and service demands. Education funding remains substantial as student achievement metrics show room for improvement.
Sergeant Adrian Foster has been named Deputy of the Year by the Mooresville-Lake Norman Exchange Group for his service with Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. He was recognized for leadership roles since joining in 2014 as well as ongoing community involvement.
