Everself, a company specializing in minimally invasive weight loss procedures, has begun offering ESG Stomach Tightening at Iredell Surgery at Mooresville. This facility is currently the only site in North Carolina where Everself provides this procedure.

The ESG Stomach Tightening procedure is non-surgical, minimally invasive, and reversible. It aims to reduce stomach size to help with weight loss. The technique was developed by Dr. Christopher Thompson, founder of Everself. The company states it is committed to establishing a national standard for ESG by working with experienced doctors and streamlining processes for patients.

Dr. Chrisopher McGowan, who serves as Everself’s Senior Vice President of Peri-procedural Care and Director for North Carolina, has performed more than 14 cases at the Mooresville location. Dr. McGowan holds triple board certification and is recognized as an expert in endoscopic weight loss.

Iredell Surgery at Mooresville was chosen as Everself’s first North Carolina location due to its advanced facilities and accessible setting.

“As a local resident of Mooresville for over 20 years, I was seeking a location within Charlotte metro that exuded state of art capabilities, while positioning the patients as the absolute priority,” explained Chuck DiNolfo, Everself Chief Network Officer.

Iredell Surgery at Mooresville received recognition as a 2024 Top Performer in outpatient surgery for Overall Quality of Care from PRC. The Excellence in Healthcare Awards honor organizations and individuals who improve patient experiences and engagement based on patient surveys.
