County of Iredell issued the following announcement on May 17.

On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators and deputies from the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office SERT Team executed a narcotics search warrant at 155 Lipe Road in Troutman.

Investigators had received information about individuals residing at the residence who actively distributed narcotics into the local community.

Undercover investigators began to conduct surveillance operations in the area, verifying the information. Investigators were able to purchase narcotics directly from suspects at home, which provided evidence for the search warrant.

Due to the number of individuals with extensive criminal histories known to live and stay at the residence, extra caution was used when serving the search warrant. A total of eight people were located on the property when the search warrant was served. All were secured without incident.

A search of the property located numerous amounts of Crystal Methamphetamine, Suboxone, Xanax, Soma, and other unidentified pills, along with various drug paraphernalia.

Sheriff Campbell also stated, “This residence was located within 1000 feet of a local church and was a constant nuisance to area community members. This is an example of an investigation that will certainly help the quality of life in the area. This investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are expected”.

All of the suspects arrested at home were taken to the Iredell County Detention Center, where they were charged as follows;

Joshua Albert Brown; Felony Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance, Two Counts of  Felony Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He received a 25,000.00 dollars secured bond.

James Bryant Caudill; Felony Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance. He received a 10,000.00 dollars secured bond.
