The Iredell County Board approved several proclamations recognizing important community services this April. Observances include Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, National Library Week with a focus on student achievement statistics from recent ACT exams, National 9-1-1 Education Month, and Child Abuse Prevention Month.
South Iredell High School students coached by the Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit have advanced two teams to a statewide CSI competition after strong performances regionally. Recent ACT results show varying levels of college readiness among county high schoolers.
The Iredell County Public Library will celebrate National Library Week from April 19–25 with special programs highlighting its role as a hub for learning and community connection. Recent ACT results reveal ongoing challenges with college readiness among local high school students. The observance encourages residents of all ages to explore library resources.
