City of Stateville issued the following announcement on Nov. 27.

Groundbreaking Ceremony for Fire Station No. 1 The City of Statesville will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Fire Station No. 1 on Wednesday, November 30th at 2pm. The ceremony will take place at the intersection of Wilson Lee Blvd and Charlotte Avenue.Street parking will be available on 5th Street and Charlotte Avenue. Handicap parking will be available on Wilson Lee Blvd in front of the project site.
