There was one gas station in cities across Iredell County selling e85 gas at the lowest price of $2.61 per gallon in the week ending May 20, according to GasBuddy.com.

There are 98 gas stations in cities within Iredell County.

The average price of e85 gas in North Carolina was $2.48, compared to $2.73 the week before.

Gas prices in the U.S. have fluctuated greatly in recent times and many drivers are feeling the pain at the pump.

The cost of rising gas prices is made tougher on average U.S. families by rising inflation. Families had to pay nearly 8 percent more for average goods and food they needed.

“Higher prices will likely last well into next year, if not longer,” experts said at the end of 2022.

Gas data refers to the price of gas when paid for by cash, not credit. Gas stations can charge drivers more for using credit cards due to surcharge fees. This is prohibited in 10 U.S. states.

Data is accurate as of press time, but gas prices have been known to fluctuate on a daily, and even hourly, basis.
