Iredell Health System has announced the addition of Alisia Dulaney to Iredell Psychiatry. Dulaney, who holds a Master of Social Work from Loyola University in Chicago and an undergraduate degree from UNC Chapel Hill, brings over 20 years of experience in the medical field, with 18 years focused on mental health.
Dulaney is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the National Association of Social Workers and the American Board of Clinical Social Work. She is also a candidate for the NASW-NC board and owns Hope Through Change Counseling, PLLC. Her practice focuses on children, adolescents, young adults, and families.
Expressing her motivation for joining Iredell Health System, Dulaney stated that she was attracted by its mission to provide quality care to all patients while being active in the community. She emphasizes a compassionate and holistic approach to patient care.
“I believe in a patient-centered, supportive environment where individuals and families feel heard, respected, and empowered,” said Dulaney. “With a strong foundation in mental health trauma-informed care and advocacy, I work to ensure that each patient receives comprehensive, personalized support.”
Dulaney’s approach involves creating a nonjudgmental environment for patients. “My approach is patient-centered and trauma-informed,” she explained. “I take the time to understand each person’s unique needs, concerns, and goals.”
Outside her professional commitments, Dulaney volunteers with Mecklenburg Community Church and Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. She enjoys family activities such as attending concerts and gardening.
Her advice on maintaining well-being includes prioritizing self-care: “Make time for activities for self that bring you peace, self-fulfillment, and contentment.”
Dulaney is currently accepting new patients at Iredell Psychiatry. For appointments or more information about her services at Iredell Psychiatry, call 704-380-3620 or visit iredellpsychiatry.com.
